Why Toxins Make Weight Loss Difficult

There are several reasons why toxins can make weight loss difficult.

As mentioned above, if your system is overrun by toxins, your body will continue producing fat cells, which store the toxins along with the fat.

Now, in this situation, even if you reduce your calorie intake and work out vigorously, you won’t be able to shed any weight, let alone meet your weight loss goals. The inability to lose weight is a symptom, not a disease. The disease, for lack of a better word, is a heavy buildup of toxins in your system.

Unless you address the root cause, you won’t be able to shed weight. Now, when you do lose weight, the toxins stored in the fat cells are released into your bloodstream. If you cut down around 10% of your body weight, depending on your weight, the weight released from toxins could be up to 50% of the number of pounds you lose.

It is extremely dangerous to have these many toxins floating around in your bloodstream. There is a threat to your vital organs. The toxins can invade your important systems and lead to major health problems, including cancer and cardiovascular problems. Moreover, the toxins released from the fat cells are likely to target your thyroid hormone in particular. The reason for this is that toxins and thyroid hormone cannot coexist in harmony.

And this is just the tip of the iceberg. You have to deal with many other symptoms of toxicity within your system, including

  • A constant feeling of irritability. If you suddenly develop a ‘short fuse’ for no apparent reason, it could be caused by a heavy quantity of toxins in your system
  • Feeling better if you eat a lot of food. When you increase your food intake, the toxins transfer to the fat cells, along with the fat you ingest. As a result, you feel better because there are fewer toxins floating around in your bloodstream.

In this scenario, you wouldn’t have much difficulty losing the weight that you have gained recently.

However, that is as good as it gets. You will reach a plateau beyond which you will not be able to lose weight.

Why You Should Detox

Hey, do you feel tired?

Like everyday you feel drag-ass tired even when you sleep for 8 hours? Are you sensitive to chemicals at home or at your work? Do you ever get migraines? You know, the ones that put you on your knees. Or are you in pain from joint inflammation? Is this just how people are suppose to feel today.....? WHAT!?!?!

Do you know how many toxins are released into our environment from factories every year? Do you know how many toxins our cars & trucks release? Do you know how many toxins get sprayed onto our fruits & vegetables? Do you know how many toxins are in your favorite fast food meal? How do you think all that toxicity affects our bodies?

Did you know that the body has the innate ability to detox itself? But when we live in such a crazy toxic world, it really takes some dedicated time & effort.

Let's look at the stats:

Every second 310 Kg of toxic chemicals are released into our air, land, and water by industrial facilities around the world. That is 10 million tons (over 21 billion pounds) of toxic chemicals released into our environment by industries each year.

52 million+ tons of CO2 emissions are being released every day which include Particulate matter (PM), Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), Nitrogen oxides (NOx), Carbon monoxide (CO),  & Sulfur dioxide (SO2). You never knew you were getting sooo much with each breath.

Upwards of 948 million pounds of pesticides are sprayed on our produce each year with an average of 29 different pesticides finding their way into your body! Are you getting scared yet?

Propylene glycol…. the stuff in your car's antifreeze? Yeah, but it is used in food colourings and flavourings and guess who puts that in your food?

How about Carminic Acid…. do you know what that stuff is? It's a red food dye used in the fast food industry and it’s extracted from dried, crushed bodies of female beetles.... You read that right, I just said BEETLES! Real life Beetle Juice!

Ammonium sulfate is something you played around with in chemistry class, right? And it’s used in fertilizers too…. Right? And hamburger buns…..??? WTF!?!?

Yeah it’s used as a dough enhancer. I’m sorry, I can’t continue about fast food, it’s just too disgusting. But please be aware that there are many other toxic ingredients in fast food, eat at your own risk.
With all this toxicity, (and this is really just the tip of the iceberg), what can we do? The answer is simply to detox. The harder question is HOW to detox. There are tons of ways to detox but you have to do it in a way that is safe for YOU.

Some people may be able to start a 3 day water fast today and be just fine, or do a 14 day Master Cleanse, or an 8 day dry fast. But not everyones body can handle that type of detox, or they may find these methods too extreme. No matter what method of detox you decide to do you need to consult with your physician, it needs to be done in a controlled way and you should start out with baby steps and progressively work towards deeper detox with time.

The first step in detoxing is to assess where you currently are and what your reasons for detoxing are and how much detoxing needs to be done. This should be done with your medical provider. Remember the number 1 goal is to stay safe so you don’t cause more harm, which can happen.

There are 3 phases of liver-GI  detoxification. The liver is a filter for your blood and is where most of the detoxing happens.

Phase 1

Fat-soluble toxins are transformed into intermediate compounds by a group of enzymes known as the cytochrome P450 family. Once the fat-soluble toxins have been transformed they can be more reactive but bind easily to non-toxic, water-soluble molecules.

Phase 2

Water-soluble molecules bind to the reactive intermediates making them harmless and ready for excretion. *** This is extremely important *** Without adequate intake of supportive substances like sulfur, amino acids, molybdenum, and vitamin B12 the reactive intermediates can attack healthy tissues and cause serious damage.

Phase 3

In this phase your body transports the toxins which are bound to water-soluble molecules out of your body via urination or through your bowel movements. It is very important to drink enough water, get enough fiber and magnesium. You should be pooping everyday!

Now you understand how the body detoxes. How can you start detoxing? You can start some light detoxing simply by eliminating fast foods and other processed foods from your diet, eat as organically as possible, grow your own food if possible, and drink plenty of water. Going on a brisk walk early in the morning could do something amazing for you mind too!

There are many many different ‘detox’ programs & protocols. If you need to do some deeper detoxing, you may want to consider using them. My recommendation would be to start out with something gentle like a tea detox program.

Can Fat Cells Shrink?

Can fat cells shrink, sounds too good to be true
Shrinking fat cells

What if I told you that there is a way to physically shrink your fat cells?

Countless products and diet plans have promised as much, and more. But I am about to reveal the method that has worked wonders for hundreds of people worldwide pursuing fat reduction.

It sounds too good to be true, right? Read on to find out for yourself.

Tea has many benefits, for the body, stress and energy levels, and even in the prevention of serious diseases. White, black and green tea have been tested, talked about, and consumed for years on this basis, each with unique but valuable contributions to the body.

More recently, red tea has been recognised as their equal, if not superior. And here’s why – red tea shrinks fat cells.

Rooibos, is a red bush from South Africa. The leaves are used once fermented in the tea’s production, and they offer a range of benefits.

My recipe, as featured in the Red Tea Detox, combines rooibos with a specific blend, working to melt fat.

Research has shown that components found in the rooibos plant, such as polyphenols and flavonoids, inhibit the formation of new fat cells by 22 percent. The tea significantly lowers dangerous fat found in the blood, such as triglyceride concentrations.

Other blends such as green tea, although rich in antioxidants, do not have the same impact on fat cells or weight loss. Red tea is an exciting necessity, and one that has the potential to seamlessly entwine itself with your lifestyle.

Sipping the brew burns stubborn problem areas around the body, without an extreme diet or exercise plan. This is a chance to enhance your health as well as your weight loss efforts. And did I mention that it’s delicious?

Finally, we have access to a health product promising fat reduction that bases itself on facts, rather than myths and false hope. Something worthwhile. It has never been simpler to cut fat cell growth than it is now, with the Red Tea Detox. Watch for inevitable results as they occur.

Late Night Snacking... Fact or Fiction?

Late Night Snacking Fact or Fiction
Late night snacking fact or fiction

You’re staring at your computer screen with weary eyes. Dinner has come and gone, but that oh-so-familiar beast we call Hunger has reeled its damn head again.

But you can’t snack after eight o’clock, right? That’s weight loss rule number one. Or is it?

I’m about to share with you some helpful truths for a situation of this kind. There’s an ironic flipside to my mostly honorable label of ‘Liz Swann Miller – Weight Loss Expert’. I must strictly resign myself to the continuous expectation the general public attributes to the title – that I have it together. Liz would never gain excessive amounts of weight. Liz would never give in to that looming golden M on the highway. Liz doesn’t snack late at night. How does Liz do it?

Let me tell you a secret. Liz struggles. Liz feels the exact temptations you feel, and resists the exact pulls you resist.

As this ‘Weight Loss Expert’, I often need to remind myself not only to pursue a healthy lifestyle in order to fulfill the expectation of my title and my career, but for my optimal wellbeing.

The temptation, for me, is at its worst late at night, during that time when I’ve supposedly declared eating over, yet I’m fighting hunger, bleary-eyed, answering hundreds of emails from clients seeking advice for topics such as this.

Firstly – it’s important to note that hunger is a basic survival instinct – and we must be grateful for it. The fact that it exists is an amazing feat in itself. Don’t be ashamed. Just know how to appease the beast.

There are those who claim the most effective diets are those which have you eating only two meals a day, and drinking water for the rest. I strongly encourage you to ignore these methods, as they are not sustainable.

The secret is snacking. And I don’t mean digging around in a bag of chips and licking the salt off your fingers (we’ve all been there), I mean pouring yourself a bowl of organic nuts. Or blueberries. Or frozen peas. Be inventive, but clever about it. Choose the right food in moderation.

But let’s talk about the late-night secret. It’s simple. And easy. Are you ready for it?

Okay. It’s a cup of tea. Don’t underestimate those three words. Not to drink immediately before bed, but rather in the gap between dinner and sleep.

My go-to is the always delicious, always sufficient Red Tea. It satisfies the hunger itch, but leaves me feeling clean, calm and revitalized, primarily due to its detoxifying properties. And it’s caffeine free – so don’t fear, you won’t be bouncing from the walls.

After my extensive studies around fat-burning solutions, the myths and the answers, I created this tea with ingredients selected carefully for late night cravings and overall weight loss (you can find the recipe in the link below). The benefits are endless, but the solution is simple.

Set yourself a challenge. I’ll be right there with you. Ditch the chips, the ice cream, and the guilty pleasure cheese blocks. Get the kettle bubbling and pour yourself a steaming mug of Red Tea. I guarantee – you will fall in love with the taste – and late night cravings will be a beast of the past.

The Benefits of using Tea for Detoxing

You will come across a surfeit of methods for detoxification.

Not all methods are healthy and safe for you, and therefore, you have to be careful when selecting a method. One of the most effective ways to detox your body is with tea.

There are many different types of teas available that you can use for detoxification. These include green tea, oolong tea, sencha tea, and most importantly, red tea. As you would know, regular tea (or chai tea, as it is known in popular lexicon), is a popular beverage around the world.

Many people around the world don’t start their day until they brew a cup of tea. The popularity of the beverage hinges primarily on its lower caffeine content, as compared to coffee, and the feeling of freshness it provides.

However, these are not the only reasons why tea is great for detoxification. You get a number of health benefits by drinking tea on a regular basis, which include:
  • Increasing the quantity of antioxidants in your body. Antioxidants are soldiers in the battle against toxins. Plus, it keeps your system from deteriorating due to age and environmental factors.
  • Tea contains less caffeine than coffee. Herbal teas, in fact, don’t contain any caffeine. Even other types of teas don’t contain more than 50% of the caffeine content of coffee, making them a superior option.
  • Tea is great for your heart health. Numerous studies and researches have shown that you can reduce the risk of stroke and heart attack by drinking tea on a daily basis. It is the perfect hot beverage for people at risk of cardiovascular health problems.
  • The pH level of your mouth improves when drink a cup of tea. This effect can reduce the risk of tooth loss, and improve your smile.
  • Some forms of tea are particularly known for being great for digestion. People dealing with digestive distress are often advised to drink green tea or chamomile tea.
  • As long as you don’t add any milk or sugar, tea is calorie-free. Tea is the perfect substitute to water, if you are tired of the bland taste. You will find tea available in a variety of flavors, which makes it a great choice for improving hydration without sticking exclusively to water.

Keep in mind that this is just the tip of the iceberg. There are many other health benefits to be had from drinking tea, depending on the type of tea you opt for.

Coming back to the point, drinking tea is a great way to detoxify your body. There are two steps to daily detoxification: refreshing and cleansing. Refreshing refers to the process of restoring the electrolytes and other nutrients your body loses as a result of the cleansing process.

Cleansing, as is self-explanatory, involves cleaning your colon by filtering out all the toxins and waste that builds up within your system at the end of the day. Tea can perform both these functions effectively, though you might have to opt for two different types of tea.

For example, the tea you drink in the morning should be refreshing, i.e. contain the nutrients your body needs as well as have high electrolyte content. The tea you drink for cleansing should be efficient at detoxifying, removing all harmful elements via your colon.

What is a Detox?

Lemons for full body detoxification
Lemons are antioxidants

Do you want to lose weight in a simple and effective manner?

Do you frequently deal with health issues despite no apparent cause?

The perfect solution for both these can be detoxification. Detoxification, or detox for short, is the process of eliminating toxins from your body. As you would know, toxins surround you and your body absorbs them through the air, the food you eat, and pollution.

Detoxification, contrary to common perception, is a natural process. The body has systems for detoxification, and the process involves different functions. You can enhance and optimize this process by reducing your intake of toxins.

Keep in mind that there are two types of toxins: controllable and uncontrollable. The controllable toxins are which you take in via food, water, and from the environment around you. You can reduce your intake of these toxins in a bid to help your body detoxify.

Generally, people focus on external cleanliness more than cleansing their bodies. Do remember that a detox is not the same as cleansing. You might brush your teeth or dust your home, but that doesn’t mean you can get rid of all the toxins that surround you.

Sometimes, people don’t realize that their body is unable to deal with the toxins on its own. The mechanisms break down and you are left with a toxin buildup. This is where you can opt for a detox.

Is Red Tea Better Than Green Tea?

Green tea has long been acknowledged for its health and wellness benefits, including weight loss assistance. The evidence is irrefutable. But are we overlooking something better?

It is true that green tea contains powerful antioxidants. These components contribute to minimizing health risks such as cancer and cardiovascular disease.

As a Weight Loss Expert, it has been my primary goal to share practical tips and tricks for those pursuing optimal health. In upholding my obligation to transparency, I am about to reveal how green tea, although beneficial, is gradually losing value in the light of its delicious rival – rooibos.

Rooibos, also known as red tea, is equally high in antioxidants, however sourced from different substances to that of green tea. The antioxidants contained in rooibos – aspalathin and nothofagin – are comparatively rare, and help to regulate blood sugar, reduce excessive fat production, stress, and inhibit metabolic disorders.

After the results of recent studies, alongside my own findings related to the major players in sustainable weight loss, I consider red tea an essential. In addition to preventing heart disease, diabetes, Alzheimer’s and more, it is an accessible and effective answer to weight gain.

This year I began the production of my Red Tea Detox. A primary goal was to harness the incredible benefits of rooibos whilst combining the ingredient with a number of other, equally valuable elements.

Rooibos means red bush. The plant is readily available, with leaves that turn red upon fermentation. With so much potential to assist with our health and wellness journeys, I considered it wrong to ignore the strength of the plant.

Unlike green tea, red tea does not contain caffeine, and therefore drinking the blend at night won’t leave you restless.

Another factor of its ultimate superiority is simply – taste. The bitterness of green tea is often attributed to its high tannin content, which is less prevalent in red tea.

Many health products do not aim to bridge the gap between adults and young children, but the pursuit of health is of equal importance for both demographics. Which is why I’ve designed a recipe that caters to all ages and tastes, with the inclusion of a sweetened version of the recipe.

This particular Red Tea Detox program is fresh and matchless, already actively transforming lives since its launch.
